To kick things off, we iterated a lot on UI/UX there to find the most snackable way to consume news content.

On this project, I worked mainly as an iOS product engineer on the apps, providing and testing a lot of interactive features.

Being in a data-driven environment, we had the capacity to try and test a lot of ideas, even ones that may have looked bad from a first glance.

With a team of 4 talented people, we succeeded in reaching the same retention as top news apps like Google News, but it was still too low for a Voodoo app.

We concluded that the news market was not a good vertical to iterate on for our objectives, but we were left with plenty of learnings and best practice to reuse in our next apps ✌️
